SZCZESNY ART FOUNDATION
Le fonds de dotation de la Szczesny Art Foundation Saint-Tropez est une fondation d´intérêt public de droit français basée à Saint-Tropez. L’objectif de la fondation est de faire connaître et de promouvoir l´œuvre de Stefan Szczesny. Son but est de diffuser son travail en France et à travers le monde.
The Szczesny Art Foundation Saint-Tropez with its foundation fund is a non-profit organisation under French law with its registered office in Saint-Tropez. The Foundation seeks to make Stefan Szczesny’s work known and to promote and research it. Its aim is to propagate his work, both in France and throughout the world.

• L’archivage, le catalogage et l’étude de l'œuvre de Stefan Szczesny
• L’organisation d'expositions
• Le soutien et la collaboration avec les musées, les collections privées, les universités et les bibliothèques
• Le prêt d´œuvres issues de la collection de la fondation à des expositions externes
• La conservation de la collection de la fondation et l’achat d'œuvres majeures de l’artiste
• Le développement de la collection de la fondation créée par Stefan Szczesny, grâce aux dons des collectionneurs et aux principaux acteurs économiques de la fondation
• La création d'un musée consacré aux œuvres de Stefan Szczesny, incluant des salles consacrées à des expositions temporaires présentant, notamment, le travail d’artistes reconnus sur la scène internationale
• La mise en place d'un groupe de parrainage et de mécénat pour financer les projets de la fondation
• Le développement d´un groupe d'amis et de mécènes afin de développer et d’encourager les activités de la fondation
• Archiving, cataloguing and researching his work
• Organising and carrying out exhibitions
• Supporting and collaborating with museums, private collections, universities and libraries
• Providing loans from the Foundation’s collection for use in exhibitions
• Maintaining the Foundation’s own collection and purchasing important works
• Expanding the Foundation’s collection started by Stefan Szczesny, and adding works donated by collectors and promoters from the business world
• Founding and running a museum of Stefan Szczesny’s works, with rooms for international temporary exhibitions

MUSÉE
Le projet principal de la fondation est la construction d'un musée dans la commune de Saint-Tropez. L'objectif est de créer un complexe culturel pour cette ville d’envergure internationale, où l’artiste a élu domicile depuis 2001. Un musée et un centre culturel sont envisagés comprenant une aile muséale présentant la collection de la Szczesny Art Fondation, ainsi que des salles consacrées à des expositions temporaires, une salle de concert, de cinéma, une salle polyvalente – destinée à des con férences, des séminaires et à d’autres activités - , un parc de sculptures, une bibliothèque, une boutique de musée, un café et un restaurant. Il est envisageable que d'autres collections d'art soient également hébergées au sein du complexe muséal. Pour l’artiste et fondateur Stefan Szczesny, la fondation est pensée comme une œuvre d’art totale et il est ainsi indispensable d´associer un architecte à la conception du projet afin que l’œuvre de Szczesny face corps avec l’architecture et l’environnement historique et naturel au sein desquels elle s’inscrit. Le complexe se veut être une institution culturelle majeure et incontournable sur la Côte d´Azur.
MUSEUM
One major project for the Foundation is to plan and set up a museum within Saint-Tropez. The aim is to create a complex cultural centre for the magical international town of Saint Tropez, which has been the artist’s home for such a long time now. This museum and cultural centre is to comprise a wing accommodating the collection of the Szczesny Art Foundation, rooms for temporary exhibitions and a concert, film and multi purpose hall as well as a sculpture park, library, museum shop, café and restaurant. It may also be possible to include other art collections under the same roof. The founder, Stefan Szczesny, believes that it is important to work with the architect in creating a unified work of architectural art for this project, with art, architecture and nature set within a historic landscape. The museum is intended as a major cultural landmark on the Côte d‘Azur.

SUPPORTERS AND SPONSORS
Un cercle de mécènes et de bénévoles est mis en place afin de développer les activités quotidiennes de la fondation. Celles-ci comprennent le financement des projets d'exposition de la fondation, du musée et de ses opérations courantes, ainsi que l'achat d'œuvres majeures pour la fondation qui seront ensuite mises à la disposition du musée.
Les adhérents, amis de la fondation, recevront régulièrement:
- une newsletter de la fondation
- des invitations régulières à une visite guidée de l´atelier de l´artiste en sa présence
- des invitations à toutes les expositions de la fondation avec entrée gratuite
- une édition annuelle de Stefan Szczesny
- les publications de la fondation
This important small group of financial supporters and volunteers exists to enable the day-to-day business of the Foundation and its workforce. This includes financing exhibition projects for the Foundation, particularly for the museum and its ongoing operations, and purchasing important works which the Foundation can then make available to the museum.
Members of the “group of friends” regularly receive:
- a Foundation newsletter
- regular invitations to guided tours of the studio conducted by Stefan Szczesny
- invitations to all exhibitions of the Foundation, with free entry
- an annual anniversary edition from Stefan Szczesny for all members
- publications of the Foundation free of charge
